Our program is distinguished amoung tutoring "agencies" in that it utilizes evidence-based practice for the treatment of dyslexia provided by licensed speech and language pathologists or Academic Specialists. Specifically we are unique in that we staff Neuropsychologists who will provide:
- Diagnostic evaluations with expertise in the assessment and treatment of learning disabilities.

All reading instruction at North Shore Pediatric Therapy is provided by our Master’s Level Academic Specialists and Speech-Language Pathologists who use multi-sensory approaches to improve skills such as:
rate of reading
reading comprehension
letter/sound correspondence
various literacy aspects
word decoding
The sessions are one-on-one, giving your childfocused attention on their reading needs in a positive environment.
Our program uses the Orton-Gillingham system, which is one of the oldest, most well-research programs for remediating reading disorders such as developmental dyslexia and has applications for children with a variety of reading problems of various etiologies.
Our reading program is beneficial to children with a wide range of reading difficulties (including dyslexia), beginning readers, or even for children that are advanced and want to nurture their reading skills.
