Rehabilitation unit uses a patient-centered approach to create specific, comprehensive treatment plans that address all aspects of stroke rehabilitation, enabling each patient to return to a maximum level of function.

Patients are treated by a specially trained, multidisciplinary stroke rehabilitation team, of which the physical therapist is an important member. During therapy sessions, the physical therapist will work on restoring the patient’s ability to move his or her body and perform daily activities such as sitting up in bed, standing up, sitting down in a chair, walking, and climbing stairs.

Multiple treatment techniques are used to optimize each person's return to functional mobility, including bodyweight support treadmill training for early walking efforts, and the use of specialized balance equipment.
